Whatever you're going through, there's space for you here.
Have you spent a long time trying to live up to other people’s expectations, or feeling that others don’t understand you?
Perhaps you're exhausted, or feeling overwhelmed or that you need to be someone other than yourself.
You might be navigating autism, ADHD or other neurodivergence. Or stressed and burnt out with the demands of parenting or caring. Or perhaps there's been a change in your relationships or a period of life that has left you questioning who you are. Whatever has brought you here, therapy can offer space to explore your experiences, recognise what matters to you and help you find a way forward.
Therapy can offer space to explore your experiences, recognise what matters to you and find a way forward that feels more like you.
You might be struggling with confidence, feeling overwhelmed or trying to find your place in the world. Perhaps you're feeling anxious, burnt out or disconnected from yourself and others, or navigating a time of change that has left you questioning who you are.
I work with adults from all walks of life, including neurodivergent adults, LGBTQIA+ people, and parents and carers of children with SEND. You don't need a diagnosis or a particular label to seek support.
I offer in-person counselling in the Boston Spa and Tadcaster area, within easy reach of York, Leeds and Wetherby. Clients may also travel from surrounding communities including Bramham, Clifford, Thorp Arch, Church Fenton and Sherburn-in-Elmet.
I also offer online counselling to adults across the UK.
My approach is neuroaffirming, LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed and weight neutral. As a counsellor, I believe that many of the difficulties people experience make sense in the context of their early lives, relationships and experiences.
Together, we can explore what matters to you, make sense of your experiences and find a way forward that feels right for you.
